The Ignorant, The Aspirant, The Master

The ignorant and the Master say exactly the same thing, for quite the opposite reason. It is the aspirant on the way who maintains a statement contrary to the each of them.

The ignorant will say, "Existence is here to serve me", and his reason is ignorance and selfishness, or neediness, pettiness, or being unready because he is a child. The Master will say, "Existence serves me"--that is because he has witnessed how the Lord puts existence at the feet of His servant, and the... servant is at this stage but an extension of God in the 3D world... God is the Eye by which he see, the Mouth by which he breathes, and the Word by which he communicates with existence. Through him, God is witnessing Himself and thus it is true that through this servant, existence is serving "Me", the Lord. A human may through several cycles and spheres of such witnessing over a lifetime.

The aspirant in a matter says, "I am here to serve the universe (and it has power over me)". That is true for him because he is yet on his way to learn and master existence, and may not yet have tasted the fruit of labor and effort, which is to witness existence serving the self.

This does not just relate to epic spiritual journeys, but to everyday journeys of learning and mastery, such as that of a surfer. The ignorant thinks they can rule the waves. The aspirant learns better, and comes to know the power of the surf. The completed surfer who has gone through the joureny of learning specific to their self and the surf learns to ride the waves and earns the right to be their master. And at that moment, they will say exactly what the ignorant said: I am the wave's master!" The attitude, of course, if of humbleness and submission and respect to one's own journey in the person whe became a better human, too, in the process of becoming a surfer.
